Because I used my parts out of my engine because I knew the history of the parts- They were not abused by the former owner. Plus I would not have to remeasure the new parts to fit since they would be different. I kept all my parts in their orginal location.

Demello added counterweights to my crank/balancing CB Performance for T1 performance parts Swain Tech for coatings WebCam for regrinding my cam T-Hoff local machine shop Busboys for sealants Bus Depot for parts VW for more parts

I have spent $5K to $6K on parts. I bought a lot of parts outside of the core engine parts just for my peace of mind so I less the chance of breaking down somewhere.
