I bought an old dealer Vanagon Microfiche showing all the part numbers and exploded views. I just got a new Visioneer One Touch scanner, capable of optical resolution to 600 by 1200 dpi. I just tried it and I'm surprised to find it's not appearing clear enough to read the text and numbers yet. I tried it at high resolution set to black and white scanning to keep file size from growing wildly. Perhaps this should be sandwiched between a couple pieces of glass or what? I know there are specialized scanners for this kind of work, but any suggestions for how to get usable results with this class of equipment would be appreciated. It seems to me that others might benefit from this. I'd like to be able to share these part numbers and exploded views. Any tweaking trick suggestions? John |
