Volks, I might have missed it in the recent solder connection thread, BUT I don't recall seeing recommendations for the best type of solder to use. I gather that rosin core is best to use. But do I have to use the toxic leaded solder? Haynes Auto Electrical Manual recommends 60/40 (tin/lead). But I'd feel better (from a health point of view) using the LEAD-FREE 97% tin / 3% copper rosin core solder that Radio Shack sells. What do yall think? Bill 90 Westy Syncro |
