Steve, I too am looking to protect the main wires coming off the positive battery post. There are many shapes and sizes and ratings of fuses available. But the biggest problems seems to be what will fit in that VERY tight battery compartment?!? Have you seen one of the fuses that you spoke of? Will it fit?
