Subject: Re: 2.1L Wasserboxer Power Rebuild
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi Eric, I know that counterbalancing the crankshaft will not make an engine rev faster, and that is not what I would want. What I meant to say in my previous post was: I am quite happy with the power output of my 2.1L stock wasserboxer. I wouldn't want to change that basic setup. The engine is quite able to rev high enough the way it is. I don't need more power, and I definitely don't want a "souped up" wasserboxer in my vanagon. The only thing that I would like would be somewhat less noise and vibration in the 3500 to 4200 rpm range that I mostly use for cruising on the freeway. So changing the bore and stroke is for me out of the question. I was hoping that maybe counter balancing the crankshaft (as Robert apparently had done to his) would make the engine run more smoothly, but keep the power output and fuel efficiency the same.
