Stellar idea. I have a Umax Astra 1220 scanner, and the TWAIN software has an option for "reflective" media (like paper) or "transmissive" media like transparencies. You might look around your software for an option like that.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's buried under some "Advanced" option button.
