Subject: 86 Syncro Engine cut out
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Yesterday, my wife was driving our 86 Syncro on the highway when the engine just died on her. (For those who may be interested, it was on Rt 3 going north throught Plymouth MA.)

She could not get it restarted so she had it towed.

I drove to the tow company, started it and it fired right up. I went to pick up my wife and our children and drove back to the van. It started up again and I drove it about 1/2 mile when it died again.

Trying to restart it, initially it seemed like it would catch on 1 cylinder. Then it wouldn't catch at all and the battery started to drain down.

I'm having it towed to my local mechanic in RI.

Does anyone have any ideas on what we should start to look for? Clogged fuel filter perhaps?

Please respond via email as I am not subscribed to the list right now.

As always, thanks in advance.
