I hope the steering rack is the same as the standard Vanagon, I just installed one today on my son's Syncro. We didn't quite finish the job, as we didn't know we had to remove the hydraulic fittings from the old rack and put them on the new one. We wanted to get our core deposit back today, so we returned it to the store, an 80 mile round trip, before they closed at 2:00. But just in case, I checked the Bus Depot web site and they list the same number for both the standard and Syncro. So, it looks like all the parts are the same.
