Tough call, and lost of interesting suggestions. For my $.02 , I might
reply and suggest that I "MAY" have had made a mistake on copyright
infringement of the Volkswagen Trademark. Make amends, then offer the fact
that VWoA did not secure the owenrship of the Domain name. Suggest that
maybe "we" could come to some sort of conclusion to the matter by
"transferring" the domain License to VWoA for a small nominal fee. I would
also tell them that this is an effort for you to recoup money invested in
support of their "Fine Products". This will allow you the funds necessary
to update all of the cost of web design, administration fees, and the like
needed to re-open your site. I'm sure "The MAN" can identify with the
growing expense of "e-commerce" and its value to "BIG BUSINESS". If you
don't choke on coughing up all this BS, you might get a little cash out of
the deal and "The MAN" off your back. You will catch more flies with honey,
than salt.
