steeringwheel felt "loose", more play, noise and if you look under the car you can see the rubber in the joint which could be worn and on its way out, probably a situation you can live with for some time, but take it seriously !However investigate possible contributors to the wearing on the joint, or to the "feel &sound" you are experiencing : Alignment, upper controlarms, springs?,tires, tirepressure etc.

However you w*i*l*l see the damage if you crawl under the car !

It bothered me tremendously to hear and feel the worn joint so I bought a new one as I didn't think saving a few bucks on used, or something similar etc. would be smart and save.
