Subject: Need advice for buying 1986+ Westy Wolfsberg Camper
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello all,

I am new to the Vanagon world but expect to buy one soon for the family. I am interested in the 1986+ Wolfsberg Westfalia campers. These are like Weekenders but with pop-tops. That is 6/7 passenger with no sink or stove.

There is a 1986 around the corner from me with 53k for $8500 and another 1986 with "rebuilt everything" in excellent condition with 191k for $8000. Both are clean in and out.

My question is: is this what I can expect to pay for one of these? $8000 seems like a awful lot for a 13 year old VW. Would I be better getting a $4000 Weekender and getting a pop-top conversion?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you,

Jon Glommen Santa Cruz, CA
