Not a moment too soon I'd say. Unlimited speed may mean little to Vanagon drivers either way, but I'd guess problems will not be solved by the new limit as it appears Montana has some serious institutional problems. Went there last summer for the BMW motorcycle rally and thought I was in a 3rd-world country--at least this is how it appeared in comparison to having driven Germany's autobahns. Mobile home transporter convoys at 85mph. Highway workers measuring the width of the interstate with a tape measure in the middle of 100 mph traffic--no warning signs. Lane closures effected with no more than 100 yards warning. No visible presence of law enforcement. Glad I wasn't out there at night or on a Friday afternoon.
