If you find yourself needing an auto trans I HIGHLY reccommend buying a
rebuilt unit from the guys at Weddle Engineering.  For $695 plus the core
charge I got a great rebuilt unit for my 87 plus a torque converter all with a
TWO YEAR warrantee!
I am not a stockholder in the company either, just a satisfied customer.  If
you cant find their phone#, e-mail me and I'll get it to you.
