Bjorn, Great review on the engine review.

I can get NEW TDIs and 1.9TD in North Americia. No pricing for the TDI but a NEW 1.9L TD complete with Alternator and flywheel is $3650 US plus shipping [my cost]. These are Industrial engines so they do not come with a warranty if used in a vechicle. Quite the job convincing the guy to sell these to me! I thought I would pass this on if you were interested.

Also, Ron's Parts has a 1.8L Turbo from an Audi A4 sitting on their floor with complete wiring harness and transmission - ching! $5000 CAD. Ouch!

Anyhow. Good luck on the engine swap project - perhaps I'll see you in three weeks?
