Aloha fellow listees, I've been lurking for a bit, but now have a question. Going to look at an '82 Westy that was diesel powered, but has been converted to an '87 Jetta powerplant (I assume CIS.) Not too worried about the motor conversion aspects as I have experience with inline VW engines. What I am concerned about is with the tranny. Can anyone help me out with where the tranny code is located? I believe I've seen a breakdown of the different codes on the 'net somewhere, so I should be able to find that again. TIA.

Scott
