My vote is to go east towards Florida - miles of beaches. You may also hit a swamp or two and see some alligators. There is a town in Florida you will pass (I think it is Gulf Breeze) that is the UFO capital of the world. I saw a show about it a few years ago. The locals sit out in lawn chairs and watch for UFO's. If you do see any aliens ask them if they know how to solve the leaky head gasket problem :-).

In two or three days you should easily be able to reach Orlando, the east cost of Florida (where they launch the space shuttle) or Tampa (with Bush Gardens).

Best of luck,

Paul Borghese
