In a message dated 99-03-05 15:45:21 EST, you write: << I recently bought a 1985 Westy that is need of some work. Just a clutch, motor, body and interior and then it will be ready for the road. Anyway my question is. What was special about the Wolfsburg edition? One source said the only difference was the rear wiper. It seems like there must have been more then this to have a special badge. Also mine is not the full camper and I was wondering has anyone every built their own cabinet from parts bought at an RV place. If anyone has good or bad thoughts on this let me know. >> wolfsburg ed. campers were the base line non-GL campers. no sink/stove etc. sometimes called "westy weekenders". rear wiper has nothing to do with it. you also got the shreddy tan cord too.. :<) FWIW, i am parting out 3 vanagon westfalias. if you need cabinets, or want to convert yours to a full GL camper w/ all the stove/fridge/sink etc, let me know. chris allentown, pa |
