Ken - What year did they start adding the fiberglass insulation to Westies? I hope it was by early '87! I have been thinking about doing the job when I get mine back from Atlanta, but it doesn't sound like any fun. :-( PS - I located a Bentley for $37 plus shipping by using www.bookexchange.com I tried searching on author Bentley / title Vanagon and got a couple of hits, but the used one for the 87 was located by leaving author blank and just using the title Vanagon. Took me a week of checking back before one popped up, so if you are looking, it might be worth a try.

These can make some racket if they are bad. Next you could try pulling all the interior panels and insulating the van with fiberglass insulation. That is what VW did on the later model Westies and Wolfsburg/Carat Vanagons. <snip> ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com |
