Subject: FW: Middle front seat?

Tom Carrington has a picture of my 83.5 9pax sunroof with the three person middle seat and the three person front seat at http://www.relitech.com/tomc/party/1998/party98.htm <http://www.relitech.com/tomc/party/1998/party98.htm>

You can see that stock 9 passenger models have a half-bulkhead behind the front seats, otherwise it seems like the middle seat just bolts in to the same channel as the two person seat and the front passenger seat, as mentioned, is just kind of cantilevered out to the left to provide seating for two. If you want to increase your existing seating by one, be on the lookout for a three person middle seat as well, since some eight passenger buses (two-three-three seating) were also sold into the US market there are probably more three person middle seats out in the junkyards of America than three person front seats.

It works fine, we've loaded it up with nine people many times, its great fun, especially on a warm fall evening with that giant sunroof open. We love it.

Has anyone ever seen a middle front seat for a vanagon? I remember reading something about it once. May have been something somebody made, don't remember. My family is growing and I need as many seats as I can get. (already have the 2 seater in the middle of the van) Also, have a beautiful old Westy tent (orange and blue) but no poles, any suggestions?
