Subject: FS: 2.0L aircooled engine parts, exhaust, misc Rabbit parts
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I am in the midst of cleaning out the garage and would like to find a good home for the following Vanagon parts that the new owner of my 81 Westy chose not to take possesion of as part of the sale:

- 2.0L aircooled engine parts. Two boxes of engine parts and two case halves. These are the parts that to be honest, my mechanic and I chose not to use out of the two motors I had when we built up a motor for the 81 Westy a few years ago. Most everything to assemble a complete motor is there, but much of it is good for core only (IE heads) or junk (pistons). If anyone has any need of any of this parts cache, let me know and we will see what we can work out. I would rather see it go to a VW enthusiast in need than the junkman.

- Custom dual freeflowing exhaust for aircooled Vanagon (and 72-74 Bus?). This was fabricated for me by a local shop by using the flanges that bolt to the heater boxes and a short section of original tubing from an EMPI exhaust to which was added new pipes that crossover each other in the center of the rear of the van and then finish with a short glasspack muffler and exhaust tip exiting at the rear corners of the van. VERY loud due to the free flow and lack of fiberglass packing in the glasspacks. It is in good shape with no leaks, the usual surface rust, not a work of art but looks fine when installed. Pictures available. $25 usd.

Other VW stuff I no longer need includes:

- OEM spare tire/wheel from 83 Rabbit GTI. Continental TS 771 175/70 13 radial mounted and balanced on original VW steel wheel. Original air! Used only once for brief period when I got a flat.

- Rabbit Diesel pickup windshield wiper motor, linkage, wiper arms, washer fluid reservior and pump.

If any of the above is of use to you let me know.

Tony
