In the 2.1l engine is know to have this problem. If the oil pressure relief valve should stick shut the oil pressure goes to max. This in turn MAY cause the lifters to pump up, to high, in turn causing the valves not to closefully. Symptoms will be rough idle, low power, or even no start.
