Subject: Decals
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

My 1988 UK Syncro van is white. It has a decal along both sides at the bottom with 'syncro 4x4' (the wording is slightly wider than the sliding door). The decal is a mid-gray color and is made up of 4 horizontal strips (around 2" high) with pinstripe width gaps between the strips. There are matching strips at the bottom of the front door panels and behind the rear wheel arches. As the van is in the paint shop, these decals have been removed and I need replacements.

Talking to my local VAG dealer, he can only find two part numbers for Syncro decals. One is a 4x4 decal (part number 251 853 602 2ZH (bright gray) or 8ZD (dark gray)). The other is a syncro decal (part number 251 853 679 2ZH or 8ZD...might this be the bonnet decal, which I've not seen in the UK?). These decals are 12UKP and 21UKP ($18 and $30) respectively.

Does anyone have any means of checking these part numbers against a better description?

Regards, Malcolm.
