Hey chris, Bauj. 1970 means year of manufactory in 1970.

So it can't be for a 1972 up - that one was not designed in that days. This one is tested up to 1200kg trailor load for a van with max. weight 2300 kg. It does not mean, that the max. trailing load, vw allows, is that much. This could fit for the early Bay-window model. If you need more info, p-mail me and I will ask our TUV-Tester for a copy of the paperwork.

BTW. The only hitches, that I know with 100kg (ca. 200 lbs) vertical load are from westfalia and only for the Syncros.
