Hi

Are any of the members on this list the owner of a diesel Vanagon or other vehicle in Arizona?

We are considering a job transfer to Phoenix very soon and I have 3 diesels, 2 '81 Rabbits, and an '82 diesel Vanagon. My wife was just checking the info online for vehicle emissions requirements and there was mention of diesels being required to have the engine tested.

I cannot imagine that Arizona is stricter than California, where we now live, as diesels are exempt here. I would surely hate to leave my recently purchased Vanagon behind should it not be compliant. I am already putting the Rabbit pickup and 4 door for sale.

Any advice is surely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Jim Snyder
