Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.  I decided I would pursue the AFM
modification so I purchased a 50v(no 25v available) 22MFD tatalium?
capacitor and soldered it onto pins 2(+) and 4(-) on the AFM harness.  90
miles into the trip the van would "bog down" (no power when I accelerated)
as I was doing about 70mph.  This lasted about 2 miles then it went away.
I was able to get to my destination 90 more miles down the road and no tow
truck. :-)
So,  I'm at a loss.  I just pray that I am able to get home without any
problems.  I will check all my ground connections and do a tune-up when I
get back.
I'll keep you all posted.
