Gregor - GLAD as SHIT to find an honest dude on the List who admits to what a sorry-assed job it is to try to get the G-d &%$#@!! thermostat housing off an '85 as IT REALLY IS!!! I really ENJOYED ME '74 VAN when I went to attack me EX-Wife's '85GL's leaking thermostat housing!!!

What delighted me MORE was, once I got the sorry piece-of-shit off me '85, finding the hair-line crack in it's body, taking it to the VW Dealer and having the "technician" tell me that they could NOT heli-arc the crack, but they could REPLACE it for $245??? TOLD 'em to KISS MY ROSY RED ASS-HOLE, took it to me local Bubba and had him heli-arc it for $12, reinstalled it and the sucker's been holding it's PISS for EIGHT years, NOW!!!

BOB
