Hello, Always thought that it would be nice to have a "CO sniffer" around for obvious reasons and to share with fellow Vanagons in the neighborhood, but thought that they were prohibitively expensive (~$500). JC Whitney has a couple of Exhaust Gas Analyzers for $129- and $199- on their web site. The more expensive one can perform other tests i.e. dwell, injectors, alternators, etc. While not inexpensive, but compared to some Digifant components that can't fully or as easily be diagnosed without one, they don't sound like that bad of a deal. Couldn't tell who the manufacturer is but welcome any input regarding whether or not this is a worthwhile investment. Thanks. Thom '87 Westy |
