The White Vanagon in question was a 1991 Multivan, two owner (with current owner since 23k, 1993). It had 107k on it, and had just had less than 100 miles on the head redo on one side. ALL service for ALL years (including head redo), was done by VW dealerships, and seller had detailed receipts. 95% of the receipts were "preventative" in nature, including a couple of VW's $235 tune-ups, etc. Very meticulously maintained. The van was truly pristine. It needed a little detailing, polish, upholstery cleaning, but had absolutely no body damage, rust, missing pieces, bad rubber, stupid-owner-installed-junk, or anything else derogatory. It drove great. The Van was in good enough condition, that, no matter WHAT goes wrong wit it in the coming years, it will be no debate about repair costs. It would be worth it. Cold AC / Smooth Automatic / Power locks / power windows / power mirrors / jump seats (which I lust for one). $8,900. Seller and buyer split cost of head re-do ($1,600), was going to be $8,100. Buyer found it on the Internet, through some service that monitors a some of our great nation's newspapers, including Raleigh's News & Observer, where the seller was advertising. Cheers. G.
