I went to my FLAPS and bought a new distributor cap ($6) for my '84 GL, 1.9 L. I noticed that the outer diameter is just a bit larger than the OEM cap, enough that the metal suppression shield doesn't fit. Furthermore, the inner diameter is also tad bit larger, so the cap doesn't seat firmly on the distributor; there is some 'slop.' I decided not to use the cap, which is marketed by Wells and made in Mexico. Anyone else have this problem? John Hung Auburn, AL '84 GL |
