I have an '82 7 passenger in which I am installing a 1983 Quantum TurboDiesel motor. The purchaser will be able to decide which interior they get and some other details. The Van is Marino yellow with a beige-white top side (normal VW style two tone). The Turbo Diesel engine is a factory rebuilt exchange unit in a wrecked Quantum with only 140K showing on the speedometer. This motor could have only 30K mi on it, or even less. Those of you who are in the market for a real nice van that gets about 28 mpg let me know right away. This will be one of the last projects that I will offer to be sold. After this one I keep them all for myself because I intend to retire by the end of this year. FYI- I just updated my V6 Vanagon page(s) this week in case any of you are wondering how that is doing: http://www.mylink.net/~kdf_cars/v6van1.html I do regret not having the time to subscribe to the Vanagon list anymore, but it is a distraction from my goal of early retirement so it will have to wait. Send me email!! -- Rick Sherrod, Certifiable VW mech. Macon, GA kdf_cars@mylink.net http://www.mylink.net/~kdf_cars |
