I check out every VW I see. I also like to look at the tires, see who has a nice GTI with pos no-name tires. You can learn a lot about someone by their tires. What really bites me is when you see a Porsche or some other nice sports car with crappy no name bargain tires, what a waste (and a poser). I don't like to see Vanagons with cheap tires, but in some cases you take what you can get, I guess.
