where you dont have to have emissions... i have gutted the catylitic converters on my daily drivers (no flames fom greenpeace members please) . the cat is still there, but its hollow inside. and since i dont have to have emissions/smog check where i live, then its not an issue. there is a slight increase in HP due to reduced backpressure. also, on vehicles which previously had no cat, its obviously ok to go without one. chris |
