VOLKS ;<) (not lurking anymore, gotta add my 1.4 cents (CANADIAN) to this one)

*rogers pass* B.C. CANADA!!!!! '84 Wolfsburg Westy(ie)(ee)(whatever)....3500km on a *NEW VW MOTOR*, pulling a Can.Tire 40"X48" trailer with a luggage rack on top of the trailer, wife(THE WESTY'S HERS), with 1 (12 year old) daughter (that knows it all), and a Canoe on top, with the added weight of a 7.6 lb. Pommeranian Mutt that won't play FRISBEE!!!! The best we could do with *FULL* propane, water, fridge(working), cooler(for beers), and gas tank was around about......ummmm......80kph(50mph) over the Pass. It got worse as we headed towards, and, on the Island(Vancouver Island) . From Port Alberni(sp) into Tofino and Ucluelet the roads are impressive. Luckily we got behind a Tractor Trailer and *IT WASN"T ALL MY FAULT* !!!!! The *Westy* Maxed out at about 45kph(??mph) on one stretch of road, but *BEAUTIFUL*!!!!! You gotta see it to believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanna try a hill to see how your VW does??? *GO TO THE ISLAND*(Vancouver Island) and head for Tofino!!!!!! It is the most impressive *DRIVE* that I have ever taken!!!!! Gonna do the *Coastal Highway* from Washington to California in 2000( I HOPE).
