Pete - Actually, YUGOs are quicker than our Vanagons! I have two clients who drive them and I'm kinda impressed with their simplicity. They're nothing more than archaic Fiats and, when taken care of properly, seemingly last for a good while!

The only vehicle I've had any experience with which really was less "peppy" than a Vanagon was the Honda Trail 90 my brother had back in '65! Although it could trash a current Vanagon up to about 55mph, after that speed the Vanagon would have the advantage!
