Subject: ? Power Steering Rack Changeout ?
Content-Type: multipart/alternative;

The power steering rack seals went out in our '87 a few months back and I'd like to get it fixed.

Is this job possible for a weekend mechanic such as myself or would it be better left to a skilled mechanic? I got an estimate on it back when, which was alot more than if I got a rebuilt from Ron (Bus Depot) and did it myself.

We don't use it as a daily driver so I'm not in a big hurry, but the wife refuses to drive it for fear of gaining unsightly muscles from the workout while steering around town. ; )
