Hi All,

When I replaced all shocks on my '86 syncro (the process should be pretty similar for all), I needed spring compressors for the front; the rears are pretty simple - two bolts and it's out of there. While not true struts I don't believe, because of the spring plate welded to the shock, you take them off just like struts. The spring compressors make me nervous, especially since it was hard to get each compressor exactly 180 degrees across from each other. Use the safety thingies that come with them. But I got mine off with no real problem.
