Subject: What a new Air flow meter might do for you...
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

I finally installed a new air flow meter in my 88 vanagon last night. After my 70 mile drive, I have noticed the following result:

-I can now keep it in my .70 fifth gear down to 35 mph with no engine strain, RPMs were @1700, while on flat ground, then get back up to 60 mph. All gears will reswpond better at RPMs below 3000

-My low speed drivability below 3000 rpms is much improved NO more flat acceleration.

-The engine surging at low speed has also disappeared.

-Smoother gear shifts.

-Gas milage picked up. Need to get the CO properly set to see what the final mileage is going to be.

I have the "souped up engine"

Robert
