Subject: good wishes & prayers

A few days ago, a fellow listee and Vanagon owner, a quiet-natured lurker, wrote me a P-mail.

He wanted to know if I could check out a Vanagon for him, as he was on the West Coast, and the van was near me. I happily obliged, as many of us have done for other listees. The van looked fantastic.

He flew in to Raleigh today, and I took him down to finalize the deal, and pick up his truly immaculate 1991 Multivan. He was like a kid in a candy store, he was so happy. After a brief meal with my wife & I, he hit the road, without much sleep, facing 3,000+ miles on his own, stormy weather, and a pretty tight timeline before he has to be home to his wife and young son.

Now I know not all of us are religious folks. I appreciate everyone's right to believe, not believe, or soundly disbelieve. I hope, however, that all of us can send some positive thoughts, wishes, and prayers for this man as he makes his way back to his family.

Thanks--
