Subject: Oettinger Prepped Vanagon from German Car Mag,

I found an old German car magazine and scanned an interesting article.

Seems Oettinger modded a Vanagon and Passat back in 1982. The vanagon got a 2 liter inline motor and some Gti badge work. The wheels are interesting too. Are these the Ronal wheels a list member was recently asking about?

I also scanned a nice engine compartment shot which shows the CIS layout.

My only request for help would be finding an interpreter to translate the German text to English. If anybody is up for it, please pmail. I will happily upload the English translation to my site.

Thanks, PSD. http://home1.gte.net/pdooley/Oettinger.html
