actually - there are provisions for a shoulder harness for the rear of every
vanagon.  some vans have the plastic phillips-head plugs in the holes, and
others you have to feel under the headliner for the hole. but there is already
a threaded hole there, for a shoulder harness, and any front shoulder harness
can be used in the rear..
