The fill valve on our propane tank has failed. I have received a quote of $130 to replace/rebuild the valve or $250 for a whole new tank.

I still end up with a three gallon tank which means quite often we pay for 5 gallons which seems to be the minimum fill-up at most propane dealers.

Has any one had similar experiences and what has been your solution?

Thanks!
