Hi, After scouring the archives and contacting several people who had pipe bumpers made for them or got them from Projekt Zwo in Germany, I got a recommendation for a company here in San Diego, Racer Xcessories, that specializes in bumpers and roll cages. You can see pictures of the bumpers installed on my non-synchro westy at: http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Falls/5783/van/bumpers.html Racer Xccessories 1460 Fayette St. El Cajon, CA 92020 (619)258-1746 Tim Maguire Features: Rear hitch (receiver, or ball type) Wrap around front and rear Glossy black powder-coat finish Fog lights or Hella XL low beam mounts on front Bull bar? on front 3" tubing Rear mounts onto stock mounting points Front mounts on stock points plus underneath the vehicle using 1.5" pipe They don't look as 'finished' as the Projekt Zwo bumpers, but nothing a pop-rivet gun and some black sheet plastic or aluminum couldn't take care of. Also, my crappy pictures don't do them justice. I got the impression that he (Tim) prefers to have the car in his shop so that he can fit the bumpers, but you can call and ask. Perhaps he took careful notes when he built mine. Price was <$700 for both bumpers installed. Dick |
