My '90 syncro westy has a problem with the passenger door lock. It refuses to open unless the door lock pin is pulled with great force and the door lever is pulled at the same time. The power locks work fine on the remainder of the locks on the van. Once the door is open it remains "unlocked", but as soon as it is latched it is locked. I do not hear any motor working when I use the key in either side door lock or when the door is closed. I have experienced some "possesed" locking cycles at times in the recent past, but these have come and gone. Seems this creature does not want to let my passengers out. What's a guy to do? Any ideas?
