Hi everyone, After seeing the discussion about removal of the brake drums last week I decided to try and replace my rear brakes. But I can not get the rear drums off!! I have hit the drums with a hammer to no avail - I have also hollered quite a bit while hitting the drums with the hammer (rubber mallet actually). I have also adjusted the breaks through the hole in the rear to prevent binding. I do not believe the breaks are binding against the drum because the drum rotates freely. I have pulled, yanked and ate my Wheaties. Any ideas?
Paul P.S. I appologize for bringing up a topic that was probably already covered, but the archive at vanagon.com is down. Does anyone know of another archive?
