A year and a half ago, my wife and I made new curtains for our '82 westy. We chose a khaki demin material, around 10oz weight. They made really nicely draping, very opaque curtains. I thought that they would bleach a bit from the sun, but so far they have been quite colorfast (remember, we live in Victoria B.C., not quite Chad). Anyway, we had some material left over and the van is suffering from "peeling interior" syndrome, so i tried covering the panel on the hatch with the cotton material. It looks quite good, and is not as stain prone as I feared. I may do the whole van in this khaki denim, it might turn out ot be too monochromatic, but maybe I'll have the first Gap Vanagon.
