Subject:      Porsche's progress with domain names dangerous precedent?

        Apparently, according to an InternetNews.com story, Porsche has
        settled with 48 of 128 domain holders who had been named in a
        domain name lawsuit. The 48 agreed, by signing legal documents,
        to cancel their domain registrations and to not register domain names
        containing either Porsche or Boxster in the future.


        The rest of the 128 registrants have until March 31 to respond to
        Porsche's lawsuit.


        VW is likely to use Porsche's success as a precedent in going after
        domain names using its brand name...
