That is correct. Reseting the comupter, by turning the ignition switch off and on, will not fix a fuel pump, of unclog a fule filter. Water in cooling system? What ever.... Step #2 - Disconnect the o2 sensor, drive the vehicle are see if the problem happens again. Obviously if not, the O2 is bad. If the problems continue, I would trace down the wiring from the ECU to the Temp. sensor. Easier than you may think. The wires tend to break right in the engine compartment were the engine rocks back and forth.
