Subject: Fwd: 91 Vanagon GL Westy for sale+ accessories
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

In addition to the Vanagon, I am also selling:

-a canvas awning by VW Canvas that clips to the rain gutter. - the Propex Carver P4 heater still in the box, if no one wants it with the Vanagon -a 4-person tent that fits over the rear hatch of the Vanagon.

I am checking on prices I paid, and will post sale prices soon. All will go into my local WantAdvertiser next week.

Original message:

Since I broke my shoulder a month ago, I have been looking for ways to keep my Westy, but the doctor says I am not likely to get full use of the arm back. I probably won't ever be able to lift the pop-top, so I am sorry to say it's up for sale so I can get an RV. Details below:

91 Vanagon GL Westfalia Camper, 110,000 original miles. In near-mint condition. Flash Silver Metallic. Stove, sink, refrig. work fine. Auto trans. PS, PB, PW, A/C, pop-top roof and upper bunk, rear seat opens into bed. Has new Catalina A& E awning fixed to rain gutter- - no holes in body. Runs great. New, but not installed Carver Propex P4 propane heater can go with it. Had new struts for rear hatch installed, oil changed every 3000 mi., regular maintenance, no rust (spent its first 6 years in Georgia, then only 2 mild winters here in New England). Bentley manual, owner's manual included. Has all curtains and equipment. Rear table does not screw on properly (or I still have not yet figured it out), but all else in great condition. Asking $16,000 with Propex, $15,600 without. Live in Natick Ma, about 17 miles west of Boston. RSVP if interested.
