Hello,

On my search how to enlarge the total allowed weight of the Vanagon I found a web site on where auxilary springs are offered:

http://www.emmenet.it/OSRAV/menui.htm

Click on 'Molle di Carico' to find a brief description.

They wrote: ----- Overload springs

From the early springs we designed and developed for our own vehicles to the springs to supply to installers of gas fuel systems, trailer hooks and for the mechanical adjustment of the vehicles. Our auxiliary springs have solved all the problems related with overload once for all. The advantage is that our springs are extremely fast and easy to install with no need to drill nor to weld.

Abroad the problem interests a network of specialists, something we lack in Italy. In 1983 the TÜV certification gave us a fair opportunity of increasing our supplies to the tough yet profitable German market and at present OSRAV Alfeo Moret SPA is the European leader of overload springs, also as original equipment. -----

I found a German leaflet, too. For Vanagons you will need springs with OSRAV item code 14944. The springs will be placed inside the originals without special mountings.

-I'm not affiliated with OSRAV-

Regards Helmut '80 Vanagaudi
