Subject: Found a '87 Westie FS...

Went on my first road trip with Phred this past week, to attend the funeral of a uncle. 745 miles round trip, absolutely no problems other that some high winds on the return yesterday.

Took a detour off the beaten path in search of some lunch and stumbled upon a '87 Westie for sale at a truck dealer in Sayre, Pa., and I thought I'd post it for the list.

'87 Westie, white, 71k miles, 4-speed, exterior appears to be in very good condiction (no dents or bashes, only one spot of minor (ha!) seam rust). Interior appears to be excellant, at least from the outside looking in. Did not run the motor. The only glaring negative that I could see from my once around, is the tires - they appear to be passanger car tires. The place selling it is asking $8995.

I will be making a trip to do a complete once over tomorrow - my wife would not let me take more time during our lunch break - and will report to anyone one that wants to know.

Alan Bosch Phred ('88 Wolfsburg)
